Reading My Way Through Abbi Waxman: A Ranked List in Progress
I recently read The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman and LOVED it so much so that I immediately picked up her other book, Christa Comes Out of Her Shell. About halfway through, I found myself thinking, “OMG, I really like this book too.”
And like any normal, rational, totally chill person... I decided I needed to read all of Abbi Waxman’s books.
And because I don’t want to do it alone, I’m dragging all of you into it too.
So follow along as I read and rank all of Abbi’s books from least favorite to most favorite. Oh, and if you want to join me please do! Somewhere on this page there’s a poll where you can tell me your favorite Abbi Waxman book, because I need to know if we’re book soulmates.
My Rankings
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill (2019) - I really loved it. I felt such a kinship with Nina and her delightful nerdiness. She's introverted, trivia-obsessed, book-loving... basically, my kindred spirit
Christa Comes Out of Her Shell (2024) - I liked this book it offers a unique take on family dynamics, showcasing characters who are actively working to heal, which made for an enjoyable read. While the love interest felt somewhat unnecessary, the quirky storyline and humor kept me engaged throughout the book.
