Review of Ramana Avatara

Ramana Avatara

This Movie is just okay, and God, do I feel terrible saying that. Rishi's portrayal of the character is a standout. His performance in this film is a testament to his talent, but the script could have used a little help. It's a missed opportunity because this film is a modern-day comic retelling of Ramayana.

This Movie follows Rishi, who plays Rama, and aspiring Politicians who, like Rama, are kicked out of his town due to events that are out of his control. This leads him to move to Mangalore, where he meets his Sita. I'm sure you guys can guess what happened to her. The rest of the Movie is about him trying to rescue her.

Rishi's energy and dedication to his character are admirable from the opening scene to the last. One of my favorite scenes is when Rishi, in his Rama outfit, runs through his village, bow and arrow in hand, and wearing chapels. The sheer joy this scene brings me is indescribable.

The music in this film was different; it wasn't formulaic, like the ones we typically see in movies.

While the Movie was the perfect length and the story was fast-paced, the story was just okay. I don't know how to explain it. It wasn't bad, but it was good. It was just okay.

Overall, I think this movie had a lot of potential. It just didn't hit its mark. But if you love Rishi (and at this point, who wouldn't?), I've been watching him advertise this film and really up his social media presence for this movie. It's been so much fun to watch him, so at least for him, it's worth a watch at least once.
